Terrific Timetable

This week in maths we did a time table. For our first activity we had to write the time of the day into the box under each activity. For are next activity we had to draw a line to match the things Sam does on a school day with the time that they would most likey happen. The activitys were fun and easy to do. The activities get harder as you go along. Do

Cool mass and volume

This week in math we did mass and volume. Our first activity was matching each word to its definition it was pretty fun and easy, our next activity was filling in each blank with the measurement. The things we measured were an eyedropper, water bottle, pineapple, paper clip. It was fun and enjoyable what are you doing for maths?

Amazing novel study

This week in literacy we had to do a novel about the book called Fing. It was made by David Walliams and illustrated by Tony Ross, the main character was Myrtle she was a greedy unhealthy person. On her 10th Brithday, she wanted a Fing not knowing that the Fing was the rarest beast in the deepest, darkest junglist, jungle. The Fing is a full-covered sphere. The size of the beast varies wildly. One moment it's a small marble, the next as large as a hot air balloon. The book Fing was such a cool and interesting book have you read one of David Walliams's books?

Amazing 2D 3D shapes

This week in maths we did a 2D and 3D shapes slide we had to follow the steps to make the clown we made the clown out of shapes. The shapes we had to use was a circle, triangle, rectangles ,diamond hexagon, oval. have you done any thing like this, see you later bloggers.

 

Exciting transformation

This week in math we have been learning about transformation. We had to create a reflection of the image so it looked mirrored. We Ctrl duplicate the image and turn and twist the picture, it was a lot of fun and I would enjoy doing it again. Have you ever done something like this?

Kia ora, this week we have been doing a animation about eating bugs, the first word that comes to mind might be yuck but its not too yuck if you know the pro's and con's about eating bugs. The slide is not finished but I will still like to share it, I learned a lot of facts about eating bugs and I had a lot of fun making this animation .Do you know any fact's about eating bugs? Organic vs Genetically Modified

This week In literacy are teacher gave as a task to fill out pros and cons for GMO and Organic foods it was a pretty fun task to research all the pros and cons about GMO and Organic foods. Then we had to decide if we think GMO are better then organic food or if than Organic foods a we better than GMO. It was pretty easy choice for me because I choose organic food over GMO food. Which one would you have picked GMO or organic foods?

This week we have been learning about How changing conditions can impact foods and how this can be managed for food preservation. Are teachers gave as a task to put apples in different types of liquids we had to put cut pieces in vinegar and salt water and lemon juice and we had to leave one apple piece by its self. This week my literacy group did report writing. I did my report writing on the platypus it was interesting to make because I have never made a site before. Our literacy teacher Mr bell lets us go on brain breaks to refresh are brains. Then we get back on are report writing sometimes our teacher lets us do a kahoot. Does your teacher let you go on brain breaks. Most of my information came from google and San Diego Zoo.

Surprising Syria!

Last week we made a slide about Syria. I learned about the yummy foods and the famous landmarks. It was quite fun to learn all the amazing things about Syria. The Amazing Cross Country

Annabel here, how are you I am doing good but I have had a busy week!  We have had Cross Country I came 5th. I am excited to be in zones, but we had to do an even bigger course, but at least my friend will be there with me.

We had a normal Monday and Tuesday day but on Wednesday we had the Court Theatre visit us. We played awesome games. My favourite was Splat I came (2) I was pretty proud of myself.

Today my home base teacher set a task for what a good Email would look like. We did a email for what we thought about pets in buses well I think that it is a good idea.We learned that we need to do a good formal language and to check if there are any spelling errors.
